The Team / Associates

In order to provide scale for larger client engagements and draw on particular expertise we call upon a network of associates. These consultants are experienced specialists and, importantly, they’re known to us; these are colleagues we have worked alongside for years, and we trust to deliver to our high standards. You can always ask us for a full Bio for each person, and in the meantime here’s a short summary for each:

Kelly Evans

Kelly is a Leadership and Assessment Consultant with 14 years of experience of leadership improvement and talent development. Prior to establishing BN1 Consulting, Kelly was Expertise Lead for L&D and Assessment with the global consultancy Korn Ferry Hay Group. Her specialisms include designing and delivering development programmes, running assessment centres to identify talent, group facilitation, and providing coaching and 1-1 development feedback. She works with clients in the Public and Not-for-Profit sectors, as well as Financial Services and Telecoms.

Kelly works with Chief Executives, top teams, middle managers, new leaders and high potentials to create and deliver effective strategies, lead and manage change, build effective teams and create plans to support ongoing development. She is accredited to use a range of assessment tools including Emotional & Social Intelligence, TalentQ, and Hogan’s.

Sharon Crabtree

A former director at Korn Ferry Hay Group, Sharon is a highly experienced consultant who finds pragmatic solutions to help people and organisations work. With a focus on public and not-for-profit sector clients, her projects have included organisation restructure, culture change, leadership development, and team coaching. Sharon holds an MA in leadership and management as well as a range of accreditations in various tools and psychometrics.

David Barnard

Across a 27-year career in developing leaders and leadership teams, David has delivered programmes across financial services, hi-tech industries, health, retail, and central and local government. He facilitates groups and individuals to ignite teams’ commitment to shared purpose, to explore what’s been avoided, and unblock stuck conversations and relationships. David holds two MAs, as well as an MSc in management from the London Business School.

Liz Elmes

Liz is a Leadership and Assessment Consultant with 15 years of experience in supporting leadership improvement and talent development. Her key areas of expertise include providing 1-1 coaching and development, designing and facilitating leadership development programmes, delivering assessment centres to identify talent, and executive assessment and succession. Liz’s accreditations include Emotional & Social Competence Inventory (ESCI), KF4D, KFLP, Lumina Spark, and TalentQ.

Emma Reed

With a passion for the people side of change, Emma works effectively across both private and public sectors, providing assessment for selection and for development, developing bespoke competency models, and coaching leaders and teams. She combines psychological rigour with a strong commercial focus, and is accredited to use a very broad range of tools including OPQ, Hogan’s, KFALP, ESCI, FIRO-B, and Lumina Sparks.

Simon Bird

Simon has been a development professional, coach, and facilitator for over 15 years. He works across OD disciplines – culture, change, leadership, and team/1-1 coaching – with a wide range of clients across both public and private sectors. He works with executive teams, as well as operational and frontline teams to build capability, develop new ways of working, and improve outcomes. He holds an MSc in Organisational Behaviour as well as accreditations in a number of assessment tools, and is an accredited coach through the School of Coaching, and Systemic Team Coaching through the Academy of Executive Coaching.

David Kelly

A leadership development and coaching specialist with significant experience across the public sector; in particular the Civil Service, NHS, and local government. David enables system and behavioural change at senior and frontline levels as well as developing multi-agency teams. He designs and delivers bespoke programmes and is highly effective in building collaborative solutions. David was appointed to the NHS Leadership Academy Faculty in 2019, and is an executive coach for the Senior Civil Service Talent Programme.
